DIY Soothing Body Butter

If you are in need of some soothing, you're going to want to make this Body Butter.

We can't speak for everyone, but The Earthly Alternative Team has been under quite a bit of stress lately and our founder came up with something that we could all benefit from. This butter is the ultimate self-care tool and your body, mind, and soul will love you even more for creating and using this butter.

Ingredients Needed:
Calendula Petals
Ground Oatmeal
Oil of your choice (Jojoba, Olive, Etc)
Hard Butter (Cocoa, Kokum, Etc)
Soft Butter (Shea, Mango, Illippe,Etc)
Ylang Ylang EO (optional)

Measurements (Makes 10-8 oz jars):

3 Tablespoons Calendula
2 Tablespoons Oatmeal
1 1/3 Cup Oil
1 1/3 Cup Kokum Butter
3 1/4 Cup Shea Butter
3 Tablespoons Ylang Ylang EO

Process:

Combine calendula, oats, and oil in infusion machine and set for 1 hour at lowest temp. If using the stove, place ingredients in glass container with lid into a pot with hot water. Turn pot on medium heat and allow ingredients to infuse into oil for 1 hour. Be sure to keep water line at the same amount as the oil in the glass container.

Melt hard butter down and set aside. Crumble soft butter into mixing bowl and add infused oil once ready.

Whip soft butter and oil on low with whisk attachment until creamy. Scrape sides and add the heated hard butter in increments as to not melt the soft butter too fast. Keep adding the melted hard butter and mixing until it’s gone scraping before each addition. Once hard butter is completely incorporated, mix on high until doubled in size and fluffy. Essential oils can be added at this step.

Package in your favorite vessel and be sure to label it.
